Slow Down

Today was one of those days where I wanted to just scream, inhale big breaths, & just release!! And that’s just putting it mildly. If I had hair, I probably would’ve felt like pulling it all out. LOL! So, this takes me to my next point. I can always tell when I don’t spend enough quality time with the Lord. We basically have  24 hours in a day, and roughly 8 hours or more are probably spent working or tending to other things. Whether it’s on a corporate job, self-employment, or maybe you’re working from home, etc. Jesus longs to spend time with us and we get so very busy that we completely forget about him! Speaking for myself, I get irritable quicker, things get on my nerves faster, and I have an all around rough day. Why? I’m not casting my cares upon him. I’m distracted! God is saying “Just talk to Me”, and TRUST ME enough to take care of these little worldly problems. Be still and know that I am God. Psalms 46:10

When I take time out for God, spend time in his word, pray daily, talk to him, listen to worship music, and just listen to his voice, I feel peace. Peace that surpasses all understanding. Philippians 4:7. At this point, I’m ready to face whatever obstacles that I may encounter.

So, just take a few minutes to thank him for life. Thank him more, and complain less. Spend more time reading a devotional or journaling your prayers. Don’t put him on the back burner. Be honest with him. He longs to spend time with us. So don’t ever get so busy or distracted that you miss him. He longs for you and your whole heart.Trust him! He’s faithful!
