This recipe has got to be one of my favorite Holiday dishes thus far! It’s a healthy tasty treat to say the least. No only is it healthy, it’s versatile. And I loooovveee versatility! Another bonus, it can be made a day ahead or even frozen. My youngest daughter is a very picky eater, but this recipe has completely won her over! She requests this banana split every day. It is packed with protein and antioxidants. To add to all of this goodness, this can be served as a breakfast dish, brunch, or even a late evening pick me up. It can also pass as a dessert without the guilt! I highly recommend this recipe as a family staple! You won’t be disappointed! This recipe takes all but 15 minutes. Here’s what you’ll need…
Ingredients: Bananas, (ripened) Berries of choice, (I used fresh strawberries, blueberries, & blackberries) Granola, vanilla Greek yogurt or plain, pecans or walnuts, sliced almonds, and whipped cream for topping. (optional)
Instructions: Split your banana down the center, generously spread your yogurt on the insides of each banana, layer your fruit on each half of the banana, spread your nuts and your granola on top. Top with whipped cream!
Healthy Holidays!!
xoxo, Sondra
